Retirement II

I wanted to thank everyone who contacted me via comments and elsewhere regarding my retirement announcement. It was probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make. Rest assured, I will continue with the blog - although maybe not 5 days a week, every week - until I run out of fun stuff to post.

I hope you enjoy this time of your life. It's an adjustment, but a good one. Much more freedom, way safer on a day to day basis.

I'd be interested how you see daily life now that you aren't the guy who has to clean up people's messes and witness such ugliness.

I wish everything good for you and Mrs. C.

Word of warning: now that you have retired, you will have less time to do things than when you worked. Yes, yes, that's a cliche, but nevertheless, it is true, as I have learned since I retired.

OK,I guess I'm a little late to the party. Congratulations on your retirement! It is very hard to get used to in the beginning. I watched my brother go nuts for the first month. Then, you're going to be driving along, when all of a sudden some jerk is going to pull a stunt that is ticket worthy, and it's going to hit you I'm not in a squad, damn.

Enjoy your retirement and family
