With all the body armor and equipment cops have these days, they look like an occupying army soldier rather than police. This has a psychological effect, which is probably useful in some situations, but not in others.
So I wonder what the psychological impact of the design of those glasses might be? Glasses are a kind of mask - I wore different styles for fifty years before having lasik - and I think some attention needs to be paid to this sort of thing.
I also think that the bad guys are going to start going for the glasses when they start a fight. The glasses need some kind of breakaway strap to hold them on in a fight, without making them a problem if the bad guy grabs them.
Harmon you are over thinking the situation. If the police officer is too fearful, they would be more likely to use deadly force. The camera as a perfect witness should calm everyone (sane) down.
