Priorities

I dealt with a guy today that has them all beat. We go to his house to take him in on a felony warrant. He barricades himself inside, screaming at the top of his lungs and raving about plots by his neighbors, his landlord, his girlfriend, his roommate, the police (Patrol), the police (Narcotics), the police (Investigations), the city prosecutor, the state prosecutor, his parole officer, and the jail staff. We finally knock his door off its hinges with a ram and take him into custody. Once at the jail, we take him to the booking desk. Guess what his main concern is? Whether he can get double portions of jail food if he behaves himself.

I'm confused. If you retired, how come you're still doing this? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the posts a lot and am glad you're still doing them, but ??? Am I the only person confused about this?

The posts were written over the past 6-7 years, and I still write them as I recall certain incidents. I'll continue to post them until I run out.

I'm a prison nurse. Inmates come to the clinic everyday to complain about the food then ask medical to order double portions!

The man is mentally ill. That being the case, let me remind you that just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Anon @ 7:23 pm.... God forbid they should drop a few pounds, eh? Makes me wonder where exactly do they think they're living?

PS, it's sometimes difficult to "select all images with bread" when the pictures are so tiny.

Yes, you are the only person confused about OC's recent postings.

Keep writing OC as I always look forward to reading your posts. Hey should we call you OC or OC retired? Or does the Cynical never retire?

No, they weren't the only one.

I kinda figured these were all old stories, but this one tripped me up because it said he did it "today."

I don't know about you, but when someone says something happened "today," I assume it happened on the date they posted it.

I can see now that he wrote it in advance on the day it happened, and he just didn't edit the beginning. But without the clarification, it was kind of confusing.
