Park And Drive

There are lines painted in parking lots for a reason. They delineate the proper parking spaces, and form driving lanes between the rows of said parking spaces. It's really, really obvious where you're supposed to park, and where you're supposed to drive.

So, if you're one of those numbskulls who drives diagonally across the parking lot, with no regard for where the driving lanes are, don't come crying to me when you get into an accident.

I've always wondered - I know that driving diagonally through the parking lot can be unsafe, but is it illegal?

I always encountered these oblivious numbskulls while riding on my motorcycle...

Azzholes driving 40mph diagonally through a parking lot because THEY are going somewhere and damn the world if you come between them and that sale on Metamucil or Mad Dog 20/20... They never look anywhere but straight ahead - not a fucking clue that anyone else might be driving down marked lanes that the rest of the universe uses.

We're also in a college town & many of these cross-driving asshats have alumni tags (which in the case of Virginia Tech seems to be synonymous with 'Entitled Prick On Board... so get out of my way.'
