Unfortunately Colorado State Patrol lost an officer this weekend this very way. She was investigating an accident that was alcohol related. She and her cruiser was hit by another drunk driver. She died.
I heard about this. Trooper Jursevics had been on the CSP for just 4 years, and had an 8-month-old daughter. Another law enforcement officer losing her life just for going to work, encountering a drunken fool, and trying to make the world safer for everyone else.
